Less Is More

Cleaning the garage can be salvific, especially when such cleaning involves purging.

We live in a culture in which securing, collecting, obtaining are at the center of life. For many, more is always better. But for me, sometimes less is more. A preoccupation with more often means more anxiety, more time spent shifting stuff from place to place, more searching for more room, more cleaning, more dusting, more wondering what's going to happen to all our stuff when we die. For me, letting go feels real good. And besides the garage looks a lot better.
